H. Lightowler, G. Davies, M. Trevan2/1/1996

Abstract

Nutrition Research Centre, South Bank University, 103 Borough Road, London SE1 0AA IlltfOIIUCtl011 The majority of people consume an omnivorous diet although the acceptance of vegetarian and strict vegetarian (vegan) diets is increasing. Various nutrient deficiencies associated with these diets have been thoroughly investigated, although iodine intakes in these groups, and particularly in vegans, have so far been overlooked.
